Why Nemasys No Ants?

Application

  • Apply to moist soil when soil temperature is above 10C
  • Use immediately on receipt of packs or refrigerate at 5C (do not freeze); use within expiry date (see inner sleeve of pack)
  • Avoid application in direct sunlight; nematodes are uv-sensitive, so apply on a dull day or in the evening
  • Use the entire pack and do not store stock solution or diluted product
  • Make a stock solution as directed on the label, making a paste in the first instance and then adding remainder of the water, to avoid lumps forming; this solution should be mixed thoroughly to ensure nematodes are well dispersed and kept agitated
  • Dilute stock solution in a watering can as detailed on label
  • Locate the ant nest(s) and pour the nematode solution directly into each nest, using a watering can provided with a very coarse rose (pores >1.4 mm in diameter)

· Soak the treated nests with water immediately after application and keep moist for at least two weeks.

The nematodes in Nemasys® Biological No Ants are not tolerated by black, red or yellow ants. After a nest has been located and treated with a sufficient quantity of Nemasys® Biological No Ants, the ants will leave the nest and move to a non-treated area.
